Off duty, Santa Clara.
I'm Farhan Shaikh, a UX designer based in Santa Clara, CA. I build complex products from the ground up in fast-moving startup environments — currently at Aurascape, where I design across an enterprise AI-security platform and maintain the design system underneath it.
Outside work I ship my own products end to end: Aswaat, a mobile Qur'an reader, and minara.market, a directory of Muslim-owned businesses launching in Sacramento. Before that, SalahSync — a Chrome extension for Islamic prayer times. BA in Design, UC Davis, 2025.
Tools
Figma, deeply — components, variants, auto-layout, and the design-system discipline underneath them. Prototypes in code when a static mock won't settle the argument. Production-ready assets and documentation built for developer handoff, because a design that ships is the only kind that counts.
Availability
Available for contract work — remote, based in Santa Clara, CA. I join products mid-flight, ramp fast, and work comfortably against startup timelines.
